New research shows a surprising number who follow Christ but don't prioritize time in the Word.

Brad Reardon, my husband who is a pastor, tends to read the Bible to glean messages for his congregation. He has to work hard at finding time to simply read it devotionally for himself.
Obviously, this is something we all struggle with, but we should not be discouraged. The survey also showed that a whopping 98 percent of Active Christians read the Bible outside of church. Only attending a worship service did more spiritually for this group of people. So many of us find time to read the Bible, even if we are not as consistent as we would like to be.
The survey shows that active Christians feel a strong confidence in the Bible, with the vast majority agreeing that regular Bible reading and prayer are important spiritual disciplines for all Christians.
