How can I handle even difficult times positively?
Realize your story's not over yet.
Micah 4:1-5
This world is unfair. Sad and horrible things happen. Sweet children die, and beloved spouses get sick. God neither likes nor blesses these scenes. But he'll bring a happy ending to them. In a good novel you have to keep reading to get to the end. Similarly, in life you have to keep walking through the mud and murk, the joy and delight. Keep a good attitude through both, an attitude based on God's power. Neither whine nor fake it. Instead look forward to the future when God's rule will be obvious.
In the future, people of many nations will worship God. They'll let God teach them. God will settle arguments. He'll guide them to reshape war instruments into farming tools since no one will have any need for war. Each person will find security under his or her own tree. There'll be peace at last.
So even when times are tough, keep turning the pages of life. And no matter what choices anyone else makes, always follow the Lord, your God. Through the muck and the majesty, he'll be your foundation and light. And one day, one very definite day, fairness and peace will reign. (See also Leviticus 26:1-13; Job 23; Nahum 1:2-7, 15; Romans 8:18-30; Ephesians 1:7-23.)
Good Words to Remember:
But everyone shall sit under his vine and under his fig tree, and no one shall make them afraid; for the mouth of the LORD of hosts has spoken. Micah 4:4
Today's Challenge:
If you're currently walking through much, how can you keep a good attitude that looks toward the future?
