How can I deal with a dishonest coworker?
Set an example by your own honesty and integrity.
Proverbs 28:11-26
These verses give good advice about how to maintain one's integrity before dishonest coworkers. Celebrate honesty, yours and that of others! Be willing to admit when you're wrong and change your shortcomings. Refuse to mistreat, be unfair to, or cheat anyone. Work hard and don't waste time. Be loyal to your company and leaders. Be generous and trust the Lord for your needs. Seek wisdom and advice from your coworkers.
But being a positive example may not be enough. You also need to point out the dishonesty once you have evidence to prove it. This may be hard to do but remember, "He who rebukes a man will find more favor afterward than he who flatters with the tongue" (28:23). (See also Psalm 26; Amos 2; Habakkuk 2:4-17.)
Good Words to Remember:
He who rebukes a man will find more favor afterward than he who flatters with the tongue. Proverbs 28:23
