How can I feel whole when the world sees me as half?
Remember God gives you freedom to soar.
Isaiah 40:21-31
While the Bible talks about marriage as a gift from God, nowhere does it say marriage is a requirement for a happy, godly life. Yet single Christians, especially single women, are often treated as "works in progress," not quite ready to contribute to God's kingdom. What a mistake!
When the gifts of single women are ignored, we all lose out on God's amazing wisdom in using all kinds of peopleyoung, old, wise, foolish, married, and single-to reach out to the world. God uses our life situations to his full advantage. So even when you don't understand why your life is the way it is, you can be assured that God will give you energy and inner freedom to soaras if on eagles' wings. It's what he's promised (40:29-31).
Trusting in God's wisdom is easier said than done. But as you use the gifts God has given you, you'll discover God uses each of us in a unique wayno matter what our marital status. (See also Psalm 23; Philippians 1:12-30.)
Good Words to Remember:
But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
Today's Challenge:
Do you see marriage as a requirement for a happy life? Why, or why not?
