How can I show my friend that Christ is the only way to God?
Point out that only Jesus rose from death never to die again.
Mark 16:1-8 | posted 1/30/2009

The way to God is not a competition between religions. It's the discovery of truth. How do you know Jesus is the only way to God? Because Jesus is God and he says he is. Only Jesus rose from death never to die again. Other religious leaders might teach truth, but they don't embody Truth. Many people have near-death experiences, but they die again. Jesus did not. Jesus' resurrection is indisputable evidence that he is indeed God. Only God can conquer death.

If a friend responds with "That's okay for you, but I choose another way," encourage him to get to know Jesus for himself. Suggest he read the Gospel of Mark, talk with Jesus each day, and invite Jesus to know him. Stress knowing God, not knowing about God. The Almighty God cared enough about each of us to come to us as a Person. He came to earth and lived as a human being. He demonstrated how to treat people (Mark 6:34-41; 9:33-37), how to respond to troubles (Mark 14:32-38, 60-62), and much more. He was both fully God and fully human—something your mind may have trouble comprehending but your heart can fully embrace. (See also Isaiah 7:10-17; Isaiah 53; John 14:1-14.)

Good Words to Remember:

Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him …. He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see him, as he said to you. Mark 16:6, 7

Today's Challenge:

What will you say the next time a friend wonders if Jesus is the only way to God?
