Ask God for wisdom.

You're close friends. You've listened to one another, cried with one another, even advised each other. You've shared your deepest fears, toughest questions, and most painful struggles. You have a great relationship, and you're certain that your "sisterly" bond could get you through any difficult moment.
Until now. Now your friend doesn't seem to want to hear the truth from you, and you're not sure how to approach her.
James offers the best source of help: God. When you need wisdom that's far beyond your own, he says, "Ask of God, who gives to all liberally" (1:5). What a marvelous promise, in any situation! God is ready to listen to any struggles you might be going through. All he asks is that you "ask in faith, with no doubting" (1:6).
