How can I make God's presence real in my life?
Kneel before him.
Ephesians 3:14-21

If you long to grow closer to God, to make his presence real in your life, you're not alone. A recent survey done by Today's Christian Woman magazine reveals that women list growing closer to God—and feeling his love—as #1 on their wish life.

Paul offers some help in this passage on Christ's love. If you're desiring more of Christ's presence on a daily basis, try these steps:

  1. Kneel in prayer before the Father and acknowledge who he is.
  2. Ask Christ to live in your heart.
  3. Pray to become a strong follower.
  4. Stand firm.
  5. Love God—and others.
  6. Believe God can do anything!

God longs for you to get to know him better. If you persevere in your search for him, "being rooted and grounded in love" (3:17), he gives you this glorious promise. He is able "to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think" (3:20). (See also 2 Chronicles 29:20-36; Ezekiel 10; Romans 15:14-21; Colossians 3:10, 11.)

Good Words to Remember:
For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named. Ephesians 3:14, 15.

Today's Challenge:
What steps are you taking to grow closer to God?
