How can I make God's presence real in my life?
Kneel before him.
Ephesians 3:14-21
If you long to grow closer to God, to make his presence real in your life, you're not alone. A recent survey done by Today's Christian Woman magazine reveals that women list growing closer to Godand feeling his loveas #1 on their wish life.
Paul offers some help in this passage on Christ's love. If you're desiring more of Christ's presence on a daily basis, try these steps:
- Kneel in prayer before the Father and acknowledge who he is.
- Ask Christ to live in your heart.
- Pray to become a strong follower.
- Stand firm.
- Love Godand others.
- Believe God can do anything!
God longs for you to get to know him better. If you persevere in your search for him, "being rooted and grounded in love" (3:17), he gives you this glorious promise. He is able "to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think" (3:20). (See also 2 Chronicles 29:20-36; Ezekiel 10; Romans 15:14-21; Colossians 3:10, 11.)
Good Words to Remember:
For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named. Ephesians 3:14, 15.
