How can I make God's presence real in my life?
Treat others with respect and compassion.
Colossians 3:10, 11

One of the best ways to experience God's presence in your life is to act as he acts. Because God values each person, you can do the same. In so doing, you'll see the beauty of each person, the unique ways he contributes to life, his hidden gifts that don't come out until someone notices them.

You'll discover that each believer is a new person with unique actions to contribute to God's kingdom. Not everyone will be talkative and interested in large groups. Several will thrive in smaller groups or will welcome people behind the scenes. Rather than try to make believers over in your image, notice the way God has already shaped and grown them. As you see what they have that you don't have, you'll understand more facets of the Creator who has made us all and is helping us become more like him. Then work in harmony to let Christ give your life meaning (3:4). (See also 2 Chronicles 29:20-36; Ezekiel 10; Romans 15:14-21; Ephesians 3:14-21.)

Good Words to Remember:
[You] have put on a new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of him who created him. Colossians 3:10.

Today's Challenge:
Do you try to make others over in your own image? Or do you allow them their own unique talents?
