I like being single. Is that normal?
God wants you to humbly enjoy your life.
Romans 14:1-12
It's perfectly normal! Contentment has less to do with being single or married than with having an attitude of gratitude toward God. So go ahead and enjoy your life. Your delight in life will be contagious.
Beware of the temptation to make others exactly like you, however. You may wonder why other single people focus on finding a mate. Or you may grow frustrated with the whining of your single and married friends, who refuse to appreciate the good in their lives. Keep in mind that someone already has the job of helping them change—the Holy Spirit. Let him show you what to say so neither your attitude (a too-happy attitude toward your own singleness may wound a friend who's currently hurting over singleness) nor words hinder his convicting, refining process. At the same time invite God's Spirit to refine you, so that you're living for him—whether you stay single or get married. (See also Numbers 11; Nehemiah 4; 6:15, 16; 1 Corinthians 7:29-35.)
