To be godly in attitude and actions.

This "virtuous wife" of Proverbs 31 was compassionate, competent, dependable, industrious, skillful, and an astute business woman. God had given her skills in many areas, and her family encouraged her abilities. Her children praised her, and her husband took great pride in her accomplishments. Far from being a hindrance to her husband, she contributed to his position of honor in the community. He even praised her publicly for what she'd done.
It appears that this ideal couple recognized each other's talents and encouraged each other in their use. This relationship was quite a contrast to what was generally practiced in the religious culture of that day. By using this example to help determine what your role should be as a wife, you and your husband have the freedom to recognize the gifts and skills God has given you, to use them to support each other, and to glorify God. (See also Ecclesiastes 7:11-14; Colossians 3:15-19.)
Good Words to Remember:
Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised. Psalm 31:30
Today's Challenge:
How can you and your spouse more fully support each other?
