Face the lions—with God on your side.

Have you ever wondered how you'd respond if you were forced to choose between your life and your faith, as the Christian martyrs had to? Yet you're faced with a similar choice every day: Will you follow God, or will you follow the world? With nothing more to lose than the acceptance of friends, many crumble under the pressure and choose the world.
But imagine what might happen if you hold on to your faith in those times when you feel pressured to turn away from God. Like Daniel, you might see your faith strengthened as you trust God to stay beside you. You might see the lives of others changed by your willingness to take a stand for Christ. And you might see God work miracles through your faithfulness to him.
When you're faced with the choice between your beliefs and the world, the only choice is to follow your loving, faithful God. (See also Daniel 6; John 15:18-27; Hebrews 10:32-39; 1 Peter 4:12-19; Revelation 14:12, 13.)
Good Words to Remember:
He is the living God, and steadfast forever; his kingdom is the one which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall endure to the end. He delivers and rescues, and he works signs and wonders. Daniel 6:26, 27
Today's Challenge:
What lions are you facing today?
