I'm pregnant, and I don't know what to do. Should I get an abortion, have and keep the baby, or give it up for adoption? How can I decide?
Live from this point forward so you'll have a clear conscience.
1 Timothy 1:14–19

Do you wish you could go back in time and erase the moment that caused you to become pregnant? That you hadn't chosen to go out with that guy, or stay the night with your boyfriend, out of curiosity? That you hadn't agreed to an abortion so quickly (but you were so scared)? But you can't. No human can erase a past action; we don't have that kind of power.

However, you can make a choice about your present and future actions. If you've had an abortion, you can admit to God what you've done, share with him your sorrow over ending your baby's life, choose to accept his forgiveness (and forgive yourself–sometime the hardest part), and decide to make God-honoring choices in the future. If you're currently pregnant (or have had a past unplanned-for pregnancy), you can choose to turn away from the behavior that caused you to get pregnant (Why not set some dating guidelines to keep you out of trouble?) and relate differently to men in the future. Although changing relational patterns isn't easy, it's not impossible. Ask God to help you make healthy choices so you can live with a clear conscience from this point forward. (See also Job 12: 7-10; Job 31:15; Psalm 127:3.)

Good Words to Remember:
For this reason I obtained mercy, that in meJesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on him for everlasting lifehaving faith and a good conscience. 1 Timothy 1:16, 19

Today's Challenge:
In what ways do you need to change your life so that you don't get in the same situation again in the future? How will you make those changes? Ask a trusted friend to hold you accountable.
