I'm more attracted to people of the same sex than to those of the opposite sex. How should I handle those feelings?
Remember there are consequences for going your own way.
Romans 1:24–27

Thanks to TV and movies, you're bombarded with scenes of sex. And to make it worse, "adult talk" is proliferating on the Internet. With such stimulation, and the fact that same-sex couples are more open about their sexual orientation in today's society, it's easy to think that another person of the same sex may be the answer to your problems. After all, women are better listeners, they're better nurturers, and they take more time for relationships than their male counterparts (How many times do you hear a man complain, "I don't get to spend enough time with you"?).

However, because same-sex relationships are unnatural, according to God, there are severe consequences. Because sexual experiences are programmed by God to imprint themselves on your brain for a lifetime, you'll never be able to go back to your previous innocence. Every sexual encounter you have from that point on will be colored by your same-sex experience. And that's not to mention the possibility of AIDS or other sexually transmitted diseases, dealing with jealousy and betrayal when your "partner" moves on, or a broken marriage that could result from your experimenting. So don't exchange the truth of God for a lie. It isn't worth it! (See also Leviticus 18:22, 29, 30; Romans 1:24–27; 1 Timothy 1:8–16.)

Good Words to Remember:
[They] exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator. Romans 1:25

Today's Challenge:
How could thinking of the person you're attracted to as a "sister" change the way you respond emotionally and physically to that person? What consequences might you face for acting on your same-sex urges?
