They shine with the light of Jesus.

Maybe she's the one who introduced you to the faith. Or he's the pastor who's preached in your church for ten years. Or they're the couple who leads your Bible study. You trust their wisdom, and you've learned to count on their friendship. Why? Because they shine with the light of Jesus.
Just as Jesus reflected the glory of God to Peter, James, and John, on the high mountain (17:2), good spiritual leaders visibly reflect Christ in everything they do. They encourage, challenge, inspire, and yes, even rebuke when needed. They're your friends, your leaders, your coworkers, and your counselors. But above all, they shine with the love of Jesus. They serve humbly, rather than acting self-important. And they point the way to the most important Person of all—our great and mighty God.
So for a true test of a good spiritual leader, check their habits and attitudes. Do they reflect Jesus? (See also 1 Kings 12:1-20; Ezra 7; Jude 3-7.)
Good Words to Remember:
He was transfigured before [the disciples]. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light. Matthew 17:2
Today's Challenge:
Do the spiritual leaders you trust shine with the light of Jesus? Or are they in it for glory, money, or something else?
