God will take revenge on those who practice evil.

In today's wicked world, it seems we're surrounded by evil—women getting raped, teens going on shooting rampages at school, babies left in garbage cans, people who are killed just because of their ethnic heritage. All of these happenings are ones that are displayed in the nightly news. But the Book of Micah addresses another kind of evil: the fact that the Israelites were telling fortunes, practicing witchcraft, and worshiping idols. They had actively chosen to turn from obeying God and were now obeying stone images. God makes no bones about it: He will not tolerate such behavior. People who practice evil are walking straight toward disaster. God's anger is nothing to fool with.
So if you see evil people around you "getting away" with their sins, don't worry. Their success is temporary; God will take revenge. But as you point your finger at others, make sure you're also shining a flashlight on yourself. Are you practicing any evil that wouldn't please God? If so, why not clean it out of your life—permanently—today? (See also Deuteronomy 18:10-14; 1 Samuel 28:3-25; Isaiah 41:21-29; Isaiah 47:12-15.)
Good Words to Remember:
I will execute vengeance in anger and fury on the nations that have not heard. Micah 5:15
Today's Challenge:
Evaluate your own life. Are there any areas that you need to "clean" to rid them of evil? What do you need to do so that God won't say, "You refused to obey me"?
