How can I lead my unbelieving spouse to Christ without offending him/her?
Keep reaching for your spouse.
Song of Solomon 2:16-3:4

In this passage, often interpreted as a dream, the woman reached out for her lover but her hands found nothing. He wasn't there. She didn't simply shrug and say, "Oh, well." She went out searching for him and didn't give up until she found him.

If your spouse doesn't share your faith in Christ, you know all about those yearnings. You often experience the bewilderment of reaching but not touching. He's there physically but not "there," where he should be, spiritually.

You still love him—or you want to love him again. You still see so much good in him. You want him to have the best gift possible, the gift of God's life and forgiveness.

Keep reaching out for him physically and spiritually. Don't build walls that puzzle or frustrate him. Enjoy him for all the reasons you married him, and keep looking for new reasons. Continue saying, as this woman did, "My beloved is mine, and I am his" (2:16). Let him know you accept him, and let God love him through you. (See also Genesis 39; 41:39; John 13:1-7; 1 Peter 3:1-8; Revelation 21:9-22:21.)

Good Words to Remember:
By night on my bed I sought the one I love. Song of Solomon 2:1

Today's Challenge:
How can you continue to reach for your spouse?
