God always equips you to do what He calls you to do.

Talk about filling big shoes! Moses, the leader of Israel, had turned water into blood and seen the sea divide in front of him. He'd watched God write the Ten Commandments, and had seen and spoken to God repeatedly. He'd faced down rebellious Israelites, led the people in battle, and settled their disputes.
But now, Moses was one hundred and twenty years old. It was time for him to appoint a successor. He chose Joshua, his second in command. Joshua, not Moses, would lead the people across the Jordan River and into the Promised Land.
Joshua must have been nervous. After all, God had assigned him a big job. But as the story of the conquest tells us, Joshua wasn't alone. Moses promised the people that God and Joshua together would lead them across the Jordan.
When God calls you to do a job, He doesn't abandon you. Instead, He stays beside you and works with you—just as He went with Joshua and the people of Israel, fighting beside them until the Promised Land was theirs. God gave Joshua the wisdom and strength to lead Israel. But most important of all, He gave Joshua His presence. He will do the same for you as you do the work He's given you to do.
