God is always with you.

Have you ever been handed a task you weren't sure you could do? a job you don't think you have the necessary skills or personality for? Most of us have—at one time or another—and Joshua was no exception.
When Moses, the leader of the Israelites died, the Lord told Joshua that he was now in charge. The Lord gave him specific instructions about where to lead the people, then reiterated his promise to give the land to the Israelites. He also reminded Joshua of the importance of reading and obeying the law.
But the Lord didn't stop there. He knew that Joshua, as a new leader, needed confidence and strength. So he told Joshua, "No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you" (1:5).
What a wonderful promise this is for you today, as you seek to be godly in your work! When you don't feel equal to the task before you, meditate on these words. Let God give you the confidence you need to complete your task. (See also Deuteronomy 31:1-6; Psalm 73:21-28; Psalm 108; 1 John 3:19-24.)
Good Words to Remember:
Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9
Today's Challenge:
What skills has God gifted you with? How can you better use those skills—even when you're handed a difficult task?
