Teaching and leading five- and six-year-olds in children's ministry is an adventure! Because their world is enlarging as they go off to school for full days, they are experiencing many new things and are beginning to see that not everyone does things like their parents. With attention spans of 6 to 7 minutes, they need lots of variety and movement—and if it's not built into their program, they will create it themselves! One of the great characteristics of Kindergartners and 1st Graders is their ability to imagine. They love to pretend and enjoy interactive drama sketches and visual props, making them a perfect audience for creative Bible teaching!
