Beebe has been named president of Spring Arbor College in Michigan, effective July 1. Beebe has served as dean of the Haggard School of Theology at Azusa Pacific University since 1998.Daniel E. Weiss will retire as general secretary of American Baptist Churches USA in August. Weiss, 62, has served as general secretary since 1988.Freeman J. Dyson, professor emeritus at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, New Jersey, has won the 2000 Templeton Prize for Progress in Religion. Dyson's body of work, which includes Weapons and Hope (Harper & Row, 1984), seeks to reconcile technology with social justice.One million copies of Patrick Morley'sThe Man in the Mirror will be distributed at no charge to men on Father's Day.
