Blessed Ned of Springfield
He's the evangelical next door on The Simpsons, and that's okily dokily among many believers.

"The Simpsons as TV's holy family," by The Vancouver Sun's Douglas Todd
"The Gospel of Homer | Sarcastic cartoon show is not without its spiritual moments," by Tom Kisken of the Ventura County Star.
"The Gospel According to Homer," by The Orlando Sentinel's Mark I. Pinsky, who wrote this piece.
"Religion in The Simpsons," by some guy named Jeff Shalda.

Test your Ned knowledge with a quick Flanders quiz from Beliefnet.

Beliefnet also offers a variety of articles on The Simpsons including "The Gospel According to the Simpsons," "Flanders' Fillies," "The Selected Theological Wisdom of Ned Flanders," and Frederica Mathewes Green's "Ned Flanders, My Hero."

Harry Shearer is the voice of Flanders (as well as Montgomery Burns, God, the Devil, and Principal Skinner) on The Simpsons. His web site features Simpson soundbytes, as well as other comedy.

TheSimpsons.com, the show's official site, offers a Flanders bio, as well as a link to an e-store that sells Simpsons clock radios, keychains, and chess sets.

Christianity Today has made mention of TV's favorite family in articles like "The Best TV of 1999" and "Who Is on the Lord's Team?."

If you get our print issue, you may notice that there's not many images of The Simpsons characters. Fact is the Fox network refused to give them to us. And look what happened to The Door when they used the images without permission.

Shoot the Messenger, an Australian Christian site, also looked at the religious themes in the show.
