This article really opened my eyes to modern evangelism and has motivated me to finish my efforts to be a missionary. Wow, I forwarded this to everyone I could think of:)

Awesome article. The mission field is often in our own back yard, literally. I pastor a UM Church in an urban area in Ohio. Behind the church building are apartments inhabited by Somali refugees many of whom come to our rear building for English and acculturation classes. We desire to love these mostly Muslim men and women into a relationship with Jesus Christ. At the same time, a Mexican missionary pastor lives in the church's parsonage, helping our denomination reach out to latino immigrants. We are called to make disciples for Jesus Christ, each and every day, where ever we are. The mission field has come to us! God truly desires that all people confess Jesus Christ is Lord!

Five star rating. Has a prophetic message the church, both South and North, East and West, needs to hear. Writes like a poet, cuts like a prophet, sees the big picture like an apostolic worker. The article is as radical and sound as the revolutionary Copernican theory (for its time) that the earth revolves around the sun. We think God's purposes revolve around us. Chris calls us to rethink our lives and worldviews, the way we do church and mission, recognizing that we need to shift back to understanding that our lives revolve around God's Kingdom, not the other way around.
