I go to a non-denominational church and my wife comes from a Methodist background... does that mean we aren't saved? Or does my church's non-denomination counter the Methodist background?

I agree with you, Adam S. That is a pet peeve of mine. Baptist is not my religion. Christianity is.

When will people stop asking questions as if denomination and religion were the same thing. If I were asked if my wife was a different religion I would say no. I were asked if my wife were raised as a different denomination I would say yes. Very different questions.
