Style: Acoustic pop/rock; compare to Paul McCartney, pre-disco Bee Gees, Matt Wertz, Maroon 5

Top tracks: "Trouble," "Let It Shine," "Beautiful," "Loveliest Thing"

Though the California-bred Jaymes Reunion introduced itself with a 2009 EP, this is the band's official debut. The foursome recalls the glory days of the 1970s—guys with guitars, dabbed with some blue-eyed soul and coffeehouse-friendly acoustics. There's plenty of vibrancy on these 12 tracks, with themes of putting faith in action through sharing the gospel and showing compassion. Though the message is at times overly idealistic, there are plenty of reasons to sing along to this tightly wound pop.
