Style: Acoustic modern rock; compare to Live, Coldplay, Snow Patrol
Top tracks: "Feel This," "Eyes of Grace," "The Coming Dawn"
Enation may be probably better known to TV viewers than music lovers. Led by General Hospital actor Jonathan Jackson, the group is no stranger to primetime—its biggest hit ("Feel This") was heard on the CW teen drama One Tree Hill. This mostly acoustic live album offers gentle waves of reverberated guitar and crisp piano lines that suggest a quiet, ponderous spirituality. Album closer "The Coming Dawn," with its vivid lyrics and folkie strumming, makes Enation's faith explicit as Jackson sings, "My soul is aching to feel you near / Eternal Father, it's you I hear in this sound."
