Style: Punk-influenced rock; compare to Hawk Nelson, Relient K, and Stellar Kart
Top tracks: "Losers," "Seek Justice, Love Mercy," "Leaving Here Someday"
With a name inspired by a Tolstoy quote and a desire to see kids live a life full of love, Me in Motion issues a sturdy new artist punch with their self-titled rock debut. Produced by All Star United's Ian Eskelin, the band's melody-driven rock enlists punk panache and teen themes for a slew of spirited ditties perfect for TV soundtracks. Anthems like "Seek Justice, Love Mercy" are Christian radio-ready a la Tenth Avenue North. Though the record's overall musical notion is a bit formulaic, the relentless road warriors have duly converted their high intensity live performance into a potent project.
