I actually saw the Obama interview shortly after he left out the "endowed by their creator" phrase in his speech. In answering about his faith, he tells the journalist "and that's why I am a Muslim" -- presumably a slip of the tongue and misspoken words. The interviewer immediately corrects him: "You mean 'Christian,'" to which he agrees. I've made many misspoken gaffs through the years, as I suspect we all have, but I don't think many of us would ever slip up in this way. Obama does not help his case here. If the interviewer had not spoken up, the comment would have stood as is.

"Judge not for you shall be judged." So many liars and hate mongers want to paint our President, as a Muslim, along with this, that, that-this, that, and this in order to fill the hearts and minds of those who are weak with discontent. Discontent brings divisions, division breeds hostile take overs, which eventually robs, steals, and destroys all that is good within and without. We as Christians better stand for what we know in our hearts is right or fall for division and be robbed of what little we have to hold onto, as Americans. I'd rather live near a peaceful Mosque than live near a "Bible Thumping, Hate Mongering Group," who claims they are Christians with hate and greed being the lamp that burns within their own heart. Jesus is the nectar of our souls. Thus we must be God-filled and Guardful of those who plant seeds of fear and hate in the hearts of the weak to gain "worldly coins" that is worth nothing in God's Heaven!! Lets pray for our President and our Country.

To Ms Muse: "the Biblical directive is "let a man examine himself" Oh really, then what about Luke 18:15-17, Luke 17:3, 1 Corinthians 5:1-5, 9-13??? My goodness, I cannot believe it. As far as I can understand mr. Obama supports abortion. Is God for or against abortion? What kind of Christianity is that? I hope you will understand from the passages above that we are responsible to step against what is wrong.

This was kind of a fun play with numbers. Whether it's a high number of low number, it's all about perception. I do think that we Christians have no right to judge the personal faith of someone else who calls himself a Christian. Only God knows and I think it is wrong, wrong, wrong to speculate. I certainly wouldn't want anyone to question my personal faith based on dumb or foolish things I may have said or done in the past (and maybe continue to do). The Biblical directive is "let a man examine himself."

I am one follower of Christ who does not mind a mosque near ground zero "where beams fell in the shape of a cross", as long as the mosque is peaceful. Believe it or not, such mosques do exist. Obama did not encourage the building of a mosque -- he only said that the would-be builders have a constitutional right to build it, which they do. He also said that just because they have a right to do so does not necessarily mean that they should. I do not believe that the Lord is at all threatened by mosques. You say, "I observe and make my opinion and share my observations". Surely you can modify an opinion depending on the merits of views other than your own. And surely there are areas in which you also may need "oil in lamp". We all do. We are none of us perfect disciples of Jesus. We only strive towards perfection on this side of the Kingdom.
