Retiring • Leith Anderson, as pastor of Wooddale Church in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. He will continue to serve as president of the National Association of Evangelicals.
On leave • C.J. Mahaney, as president of Sovereign Grace Ministries (SGM) for a "season of examination and evaluation" of charges against him by alienated SGM pastors.
Appointed • Stephanie Summers, as CEO of the Center for Public Justice, where she had served as COO. Gideon Strauss, who had been CEO since 2009, will serve as senior fellow.
Resigning • John Green, from his role as founder of Emmaus Ministries. He will remain as Counsel to the Board of Directors.
Died • Michael Wenning, close friend and former pastor to President Ronald Reagan, on June 28 in California. He was 75.
Died • Joseph E. Mortimer, Jr., founder and publisher of Voices for the Unborn, on July 1 in Pennsylvania. He was 80.
Named • Charisse Gillett, as Lexington Theological Seminary's 17th president. She is the first woman and the first African American to hold the position.
