Ruth, you are so fortunate to have a father that loves the Lord, and that you can talk to about God. My family wants nothing to do with God, they don't know the incredible joy they are missing and will miss for all eternity unless God really touches their hard hearts and opens their eyes like He did with me. God Bless and hang in there. God is always near.

The word says; He came to not to save the righteous, but the unrighteous! I say; Ruth keep your head up high, He is the lifter up of our head! Keep trusting the Lord for His strength. And welcome home prodical child, as I have been myself.

That was touching. It's wonderful to see how he lived out his personal life despite being busy travellng and preaching in obedience to God.

It is odd how she complains about her son in the interview, why is that anyone elses business? Of course the guy is angry with his Mom, his parents divorced. It is also interesting how Billy says to her, "welcome home" like it was always there with her parents instead of with her husband.

Billy Graham is a man saved by Grace. His children as adults have freedom of choice. When he had his "BACK UP" my guess it was for a good cause. I was expecting another of these books that show how "famous people" have a public and private face, and this was the private face of Billy Graham. We have a hobby in American of killing our hero's. Re: the children of Ronald Reagan. We hve seen it with the children of film stars. It seems that reporters are willing to destroy someone to satisfy the voyerism of the media populace. The media has tried to destroy Pres. Bush with stories about his two daughters. I have counseled many children of Pastors because of the damage done to them and their Pastoral parent by gossips in the congregation. Not all children are the Sons of Levi. St. Monica prayed for 20 years for the conversion of the son who became St. Augustine. The lure of 15 minutes of fame destorys both parent and child. Who'll remember Ruth? Ruth the child, that is.

Somehow I just wonder about her depth of character. She comes across as rather hard.

Hope, Her name is the same as her mother's...Ruth Graham. She has apparently reclaimed her maiden name after her marriages failed.

My dad used to say "you can be right, or you can be gracious--and grace is always right." I pray I learn to be the gracious father, brother and friend God teaches us to be. And soon, 'cuz I'm getting old! Thanks for this special glimpse into the life of a grace-filled family.

Article as short asit was made me shed a tear to think of Billy Graham in his later years. Made me want to get the book. Told me just enough to make me want to read more.
