For Museum's Opening, Former Presidents, a Talking Cow, and Gobs of Graham
"He doesn't want attention to go to him. And yet it just does."

Consider it Billy Graham's last crusade, one that will draw the faithful long after America's most famous religious figure is gone.

On a wooded site in his hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina — ...

Why must it come down to 'right' or 'wrong'? Each modern president has his own memorial, and Billy Graham has had a much bigger impact on the country and even the world than most presidents! There certainly should be a museum, and God will certainly be honored because of Billy.

You can't tell the story of how God used Billy Graham without including Billy Graham. This is a powerful exhibit, and a wonderful testimony fo how god can take the most "insignificant" people and use them mightily for His kingdom. Yes, there is memorabilia (no more pricey than any other Christian bookstore), but I don't hold that against them. The admission cost may be free, but the operational costs of something like this certainly are not, so there is nothing wrong with having a bookstore, or even donation stations if it is determined to have them. No one is forced to pay to experience the exhibit, but they can donate, and give back, if they feel so moved.

I just watched the entire program, all of the speakers spoke with a feeling of " this man helped me at some time or another with his power of the word of God". Billy Graham served his Lord and having Ruth as a home "anchor" made his mission much easier. On the lighter side, Billy Graham attended Bob Jones University for a period of time. I did in 1955, we both had good training. The world has been blessed with Billy Graham work for Jesus, our Savior.

Thanks so much. It is because of his humility that God was able to use him. A.W. Tozer said "God will share His Glory with no man". How true.

I have a great deal of respect and love for Ruth and Billy Graham and their son Franklin but I have reservations about the library being done the way it has been done. Only God knows if it is right or not.

This is just another sign of Christian commercialism. Despite the museum being free, I'm sure there will be overpriced memorabilia in some gift shop. Billy Graham is right, it should be about God. God used Billy Graham. Graham didn't do any of what he did by himself.
