Nigeria mob kills 10, pharmacists don't have to fill Plan B prescriptions, and Prison Fellowship bars UCC congregation from Angel Tree.

  • A Muslim mob in Kano, Nigeria, killed 10 Christians in late September, according to Compass Direct. The incident was touched off by Muslim high school students who claimed that a Christian student had drawn a cartoon of Muhammad on the school's mosque. The mob destroyed nine churches and injured 61 people. More than 500 people were displaced. Local pastor Rabiu Danbawa said police turned away Christians who ran to the station for safety. "Women and children all scampered to the bush, only to be attacked by the Muslims who had already hid themselves in the bush awaiting their Christian prey," he said.

Not a judge   Posted: November 21, 2007 5:45 PM
I bet churches welcome other sinners. Since when does the sin disqualify attendence?

If scripture only validates what you already believe and does not challenge you you are reading it wrong. " for I say unto you that you should love your enemies and judge not lest ye be judged..."

Come on, Russell. Talk about using the Scriptures as a weapon. I couldn't agree with you less. There's no "courage" and "faith" here - only clinging to outmoded methods of Scriptural interpretation, and an unwillingness to live the Gospel. Shame on Prison Fellowship.

I applaud Prison Fellowship for being willing to stand for the truth of God's Word. It is so easy in this day and age to compromise and back down from God given truth in order to be successful in ministry. This stand took a lot of courage and faith and I belive that God will honor this stand and bless this ministry more than ever.
