Hillary's Spiritual Formation
Sen. Clinton's youth group leader was one of her early influences toward social activism.

For much of Hillary's youth, [her father] Hugh was the only male influence on her life that had any real bearing. Her views, her political ideas, her religion—all this was filtered through Hugh, ...

Hillary Clinton supports abortion. Abortion is the destruction of the unborn child in the womb.

She is obviously a deeply committed Christian, and one who would be a great world leader.

I'm amazed that a "Christian" publication is endorsing Hillary Clinton for President, but actually you are giving all Methodist Church Members an excuse to vote for her. After all she is Methodist. I often think it really does not matter any more who is President, but then when I travel to Ukraine and other Eastern European countries I find that they judge all Americans by who is our President. A funny footnote--the Ukrainians I teach in business classes who are all business owners are more familiar with Condelessa Rice than they are President Bush.

Amen! to Char's note! Without attempting to judge her faith, Hilary might want to spend more time in the greatest love letter of all time, God's Word, rather than chasing influential worldly philosophy and opinion. Here, while letting Scripture interpret Scripture, is where we all can get accurate advice and guidance. For the 'fear' of the Lord is truly the beginning of wisdom. It will be interesting to see what the Lord has planned for us come election time. As we live out our lives under the umbrella of his love in Chrst, may we be reminded that we will never experience anything that is not part of his eternal plan for us. Our God is an awesome God! God Bless!

Social action throuh the channel of the Christian faith sounds socialistic.

As a "born again" and "evangelical" Christian, I am glad to see that Hillary learned early in life to live out her faith by her actions. This is called: "letting the rubber meet the road." That's what Bonhoffer did and it cost him his life. That's how many prominent names lived their lives, but were never appreciated nor honored until they paid the ultimate price: death. My prayer is that Hillary may live to do much good for humanity to the glory of God.

I can only accept at face value what I just read - somebody I've never heard of giving his opinion of Hillary. What he says about her is in direct opposition to what I've seen elsewhere - too many times, she has made statements showing that she and Bill have communistic leanings. I couldn't be any more Republican, I can't believe she is getting as much attention as she is, and God help us if we're stupid and ignorant enough to elect her President. And don't even get me started on the Muslim running for President, saying he is really a Baptist!

How sad for Hillary. No where does she say that at one time in her life she realized she was nothing and in need of a risen Saviour. All I read is the persute of earthly knowledge rather than the desire for wisdom that only the Holy Spirit can give. I hope Christians are not fooled by this evolving "Christainity" that has been forming since learning that there are many votes needed from Conserative Christians. All we can do is Pray and Vote and not be led astray by such things as I just read.

Hmmm... Meeting people where they are, to share the love of Christ notwithstanding... "She is very much the sort of Christian who understands that the use of power to achieve social good is legitimate." ...Yeah, the power of the Holy Spirit, within His will to achieve Kingdom good...not one's own power and one's own interpretation of "Social good". Or am I missing something? Respectfully, Tom
