Kevin Devoto: We feel safe here for the time being, but we acknowledge that things can change quickly. We make plans as we are able, but we also rest in the knowledge that we are part of God's greater plan for this land. I look at our students with amazement. They are handling these events with great calm and a deep confidence in their parents' decision to send them to us. We are all blessed... some more than others. Kevin Devoto

I know that those of us who had the privileged of attending RVA and having Mr. & Mrs. Koning as staff are continuously in prayer for the school, students, staff, and the surrounding community. I was blessed to have grown up in such a place and with guardians who I knew were there to serve God. Thank you for being there and for letting us know what is happening at our childhood home.

What an encouraging article for us that have neices and grandchildren at RVA. I new when I found out they girls would be there, it is a gift from God. He will lead the staff, faculty, dorm parents to make the best decisions for all of our students. We pray for you all.

As Paul describes the "utter trust" the students have in him, I sense the utter trust that he, and the students' missionary parents, have placed in God to protect them and see them through this hard time. May God bless everyone at RVA.

I'm happy the children of all those wealthy missionaries are being "catered to" at RVA, Victor. You misunderstand the purpose of the school. I'm thankful for Rift Valley Academy, for the staff there and for those it serves --- missionaries who are putting themselves and their children at risk, thousands of miles from home, in order to bring the gospel of Christ to people all over the continent of Africa. Christ's Atonement is better than tuiton to a boarding school any day of the week.

FYI. RVA caters to mostly upper Middle class and above families. It is not affordable for an average Kenyan family.

May God bless the work at this beautiful school. Having visited this school, I can say that the work there is amazing. May God protect the students, faculty, staff, dorm parents, and all involved at RVA and Kijabe as a whole.
