Kingdom Sightings
The Vision Thing
Clarity came just as things got blurry.

My vision has never been good. I've worn eyeglasses since second grade and contact lenses since high school. Once during a Little League game, a line drive smacked me right on the nose, splitting my glasses' ...

God heals in many ways.

Love the title Kingdom Sightings The Vision Thing...Jesus always prayed we would have eyes to see and ears to hear...I suspect He is still praying that for us. We all need fresh vision of Kingdom sightings..to understand what breaks our Kings heart and allow those issues to break ours and to take action in prayer and practical ways. We are His eyes, hands and feet...we are the body of Christ, we all have a part in His Kingdom call and work! Excellent EYE catching one CT!

Great article man!!!!! It is amazing how God consistently uses the smallest situations in our lives to focus us on the big picture.

Fine article. I have one concern: Al does not seem to realize that in using the term "sex worker," which has been introduced into the public discourse by anti-Christians seeking to legitimize pornography and prostitution as reasonable and honorable pursuits, he is not dignifying but hurting (longterm) individuals who have been trafficked (etc.). The Salvation Army's recent Initiative Against Sexual Trafficking, headed up by Lisa Thompson, is working hard to raise public consciousness on this issue, including the implications of the language that Al seems willing to "normalize."

This is a worderful testimony that jerks us to the needs of others around us. God is still a God of miracles.Lets take us even after praying for others needs.

This article touches my soul especially the sentence, "When God moves me to tears, I begin to see more clearly". When I have had times like that in my life, I have felt a deep desire to thank Him on my knees.

Wow...this stirs me to re-think my safe, sedate, American Christian existance. God does want me to see outside my insulated bubble, to get involved in the lives of others, to spend my life on things that matter. Thanks, Al.

Thanks! I needed that. A good dose of the reality of the "Least Among Us" helps me shake of the blues of lethargy and indiffrence and think of ways to exercise my faith for the furtherance of the Gospel.

Al says "I do not act because I do not see". Sometimes I do not act even when I see!

I fail to see anyting funny about this story. Al writes a story of faith and Love. He knew that no matter how his eyes were healed, that he must seek God's direction about the surgery. God, however, made sure that Al knew that healing, no matter how it occurs, comes from God, our Great Physician. Great Story. I am happy for you Al. God heals in many ways. You can see with you eyes, heart and soul.
