Speaking Out
Pity for a Devastated Wall Street
The difficulty in times like this is treating the powerful with justice.

Picking the moment when a friend's house collapses due to choosing a location in the path of a hurricane to lecture him on his lack of prudence seems as insensitive as writing about greed while Wall Street ...

"Christians voted for Bush because they thought he was there to serve God" I'm praying that we don't get snookered again. http://christiansvoteobama.org

As Christians generally know, Wall Street is part of the Babylonian system described in the Book of Revelation, which will be destroyed suddenly by Yahweh Himself. "All the nations have been intoxicated by the wine of her prostitution; every king in the earth has committed fornication with her, and every merchant grown rich through her debauchery" (18:1-3). That is why the current problem is international in scope. Christians are exhorted to "Come out of her my people, away from her, so that you do not share in her crimes.. Her sins have reached up to heaven.. she is to be paid in her own coin.. she will be burned right up.." The terrible tragedies of Iraq and Palestine have still to be paid for at the source of the violent warmaking, killing and oppression. The whorish politicians (18:3) of both the Democratic and Republican Parties have been bought and paid for by the Wall Street-AIPAC-shekellocratic anti-Christian cabal for years and years.

We have become a system where "the "economy" is actually considered a business. There are a number of people arrogant enough to believe that they are actually in charge of controlling it and managing it. This dates back to Keynes and prior. God has put each of us in charge of one economy- our own. And in the end, that is the only one that matters. His laws and guidelines allow us to take care of our families and interact with others with integrity, making mutually beneficial decisions to make our respective livings. When we surrender our assets (investing in other people's businesses) we put our own economies at risk. What those entrusted with the funds have done is horrible and sinful. Look back to the early 1900's for a long train of insidious legislation that was designed to devalue our currency and destabilize our economy. I have no pity for the designers of the program. I do feel badly for the many pawns in the game- and yes, are many well-intentioned Christians.

you're out of your mind if you think the rich are brought to justice just as much as the poor in this country.

This wall street crisis is a CREATED man made planned event. This is no coincidence that it is happening now..this has been planned by the ONE WORLD supporters for a long time..Our economics will soon be all part of their GLOBAL plan.. Most know of this plan but forget when it really comes about. These are people who hate God and all who love him. We do not fear but see this all happening as a great picture for what is happening and what is to come..WORLD domination is the goal and things will not be easy street. God is in control and they may think they are making great strides..and they are..but not to what will last..Only repenting of your sins and see that Jesus is Lord intead of their gods..Or the high ranking demon of Allah..ONLY GOD rules..We praise HIM and HIM along!!

Justice? Not a chance in hell of any of that in this life time. And if the bill is passed as it stands. All those CEO, and executives you want us to pity still get to keep their Golden Parachutes. The bill only addresses future CEO agreements. The people who caused the problem, then threatened (blackmailed is a more accurate word) us with the threat of a 1930's depression, if we don't pay, get to walk away with millions of dollars instead off seeing jail or a firing squad. Justice and pity are not applicable here. Author is nieve about politics and economics...which are by the way, one and the same thing.

Suffering is suffering for anyone experiencing pain whether they are or were rich or poor and whether their pain came about because of their foolishness or not. While we were yet sinners Christ died for the ungodly. God didn't wait around for us to get our act together. If He had, he's still be waiting. He took pity on people like me and all of us who have no right to expect anything good from God given all our large and small daily rebellions and disobediences. Jesus' purpose is to live His compassion out through us who by faith have been rescued from our foolishness. I believe with all my heart that means He intends that through us His compassion should extend even to people who are even yet lost in their sins and foolishness.

You must be kidding me! Save all your pity for those who work hard and cannot earn enough to pay our bills. Period. I just read how much all these pigs make! I am sick. Open your eyes to the tent cities and the poverty and the oppression everywhere. Wall Streeters go without nothing ever. Christians voted for Bush because they thought he was there to serve God. What an act he put on.

The media is full of people who pity the CEOs, etc. They will be fine, most of them. The people who had no imput whatsoever into this mess, the people at the bottom, will suffer the most. and they WON"T bounce right back.
