It is a very funny cartoon! Sorry Bob, I think you're taking things a bit too seriously! There is nothing disrespectful in that cartoon--as Maria said--Jesus did go through teething and all other bodily functions. I praise Him for His willingness to humble himself and become a servant--to give His life for us. Somehow I have always been comforted by the fact that he experienced everything human life has to offer--what a wonderful Lord!

I don't get it, have we come to such a low view of God that He deserves no more respect than this?

the truth is Jesus did go thru teething just like all of us.Let's not forget His Word says that He humbled himself and layed aside His rights as the ruler of the universe,I feel this cartoon expresses all these things and more in a way that puts a smile on your face

Great cartoon. May we use it in our annual newsletter to friends & family with credit/link? Or do we have to contact Kevin?

Yes, I agree, I do think that cartoon would give Jesus a good laugh also! More.....God bless the cartoonist and his family. Merry Christmas to all! Birthday of our Redeemer! How fortunate we are!!!

Our Pastor asked last night at Christmas eve service if we thought Jesus experienced teething. This is cute!

It's a really cute and lovely design

Another great piece of work by the talented and hilarious Kevin Frank.

hum. Are Halos in the Bible? I don't see any lack of understanding here. God became man! WOW!

Kevin's work is always great!

Jesus Christ is the great "I AM"; He was both human and divine. We should never lose sight of His human nature as we extol his divinity. We remember him in this time "in which thy son Jesus Christ came to visit us in great humility". I suspect that He did indeed teethe.

Excellent cartooning once again from Kevin Frank, but why did nt Christianity Today give Kevin a serious mention when his "Heaven's Thrift Store" strip went syndicated by King Features Syndicate. The NY Times did a hugh spread for our guy Mr. Frank and they dont even like Christianity. Charles Schultz was very impressed by Kevin's work as well, so why is it that CT is behind, arent you guys suppose to be "cutting edge" ? I would be terrified to send in my Dietrich Bonhoeffer graphic Novel for fear that CT would laugh at it.............Robert W. (Bob) Cox p.s. what's with EEF, get a life dude

Yes, we love God and we love that Jesus was both God and human. Comics can say such profound things in such a simple way. I have Kevin's book of Bible cartoons -- it's great! I found it on Amazon.com http://www.amazon.com/Balaams-Chicken-Other-Cartoons/dp/14382 25431/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1230130938&sr=1-1

I see no comedy in the "cartoon", only sorrow for the artist's apperent lack of understanding to the Holiness of God, and the depirvity of man.

Karen   Posted: December 23, 2008 9:27 PM
Halo as teething ring- I love it.

John   Posted: December 23, 2008 8:59 PM
Need cartoon!. I would expect Jesus also to have a laugh. The fact that we Christians can accept such fun shows the Christian freedom we have contrasting the Muslims who have to come to the defense of Mohamed. Remember the Danish cartoons?????

CUTE cartoon! Fully appropriate to the season.

Yes, he was for real!

john   Posted: December 23, 2008 6:50 PM
Wonderful reality ... fully God and fully human. Nice job.

Carol   Posted: December 23, 2008 6:10 PM
Somehow it seems so WRONG...Jesus Christ is the "I AM" that created the world...and we depict Him teething...does He not deserve more reverence that this?
