The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian

For all their talk of staying true to the spirit of C. S. Lewis's novels, the makers of the Narnia films have frequently deviated from the books in ways both big and small, and the liberties they take ...

I liked the movie, but I heard that they didn't make enough money so they might not be making a third one.

Don't wast your time. Way to many religions are mixed in this movie. I am still a bit confused on what have happened and why. I would have watched wall-e Would have got more out of that movie then this. Again if I know what it would be like but I had no choice for I was watching it with a group of people.

No spam here. I thought it was a fun movie to watch, although the ending with the trees attacking the enemy was ripped off from LotR. The Pevensie children were far more developed and fleshed out, despite most of the times just standing there like statues without doing anything. The action sequences were rather exciting, even though too many people were getting killed. It was far more targeted to teens than in the other one. And, no, I haven't read the books. Sorry. Still, a movie worth the price. Not the best fantasy flick, but it's not the worst either.

I will grudgingly admit that it would have been a good movie on its own, if it hadn't butchered the spirit of the book. Some changes were cool, like Edmund bailing Peter out of fistfights and the initial Peter/Caspian swordfight; but what I found particularly unforgivable was the witchcraft scene, the pathetic character they turned Aslan into, and the ridiculous attempted romance between Susan and Caspian. If you want big epic battles, fine, but _must_ you mangle Peter and Caspian's essential characters to do so? Since when were they rivals? Since when would they ever dream of asking the White Witch for help? How is Caspian going to be justified in the next movie when he so quickly "dumps Susan" for his future wife?

This film has taken the boring plotline of the book and captured the essence of it to create a film that is visually stunning and captures the attention of audiences. The music also matches the mood of the film. They have done an amazing job! Four stars!

Wow, weird comment above! Okay, with that said. I thought this was a great movie. I mean, you really have to see what they are trying to do. They are trying to take a book that doesn't have a ton of action and turn it into a movie that captures the audiences attention. I think the producers could only follow the book exactly for so long before it would become a dreadfully boring movie to watch. They did a great job! I am giving it three stars but for some reason it only let's me pick one star.
