One of Jerry's Kids
Kevin Roose sojourns at Liberty U. and lives to tell (mostly good things) about it.

As an LU faculty member I was pleasantly surprised by Kevin’s statements. LU is an excellent university and holds several major accreditations. I think Kevin is right in pointing out that we need to dialogue more. The more we understand each other the less “scary” things become.

As a mom of a Liberty University student, I was surprised and pleased when I started reading this book. Kevin is a talented author - the book really pulled me in. Also, Kevin was open to what he experienced at Liberty and I was thrilled that he didn't write this book in order to trash the school and the people he met there. Biggest surprise upon reading - that Kevin found the classes there really hard and challenging, since Liberty doesn't yet have a strong academic reputation. My child had the option to go to a large secular university but picked Liberty because of the emphasis on a strong Christian community - which my child wanted after visiting friends at the other school and observing the social life there.
