Startling FingerprintsStartling Fingerprints
It's up to the viewer of "Finger of God" to determine whose they are.

A frail Mozambiquan woman watches the Jesus film and is healed of deafness. In rural China, house churches hold days-long services in 110-degree heat—with gusto. More strangely, in suburban Chicago, ...

For a Christian to judge why God would do something is to say they themselves are above Him. BE CAREFUL! It is better to ponder and seek the Lord's council than to cast a judgement you would be later held accountable for. Word's are very powerful as Jesus can attest He is the Word of God made Manifest.

I sure agree with Patrick Gann on this. I think satan loves to have people follow miricle's rather than The Word of God and Christ himself. Articales like this confuse the young Christian and lead them astray.

The Incorruptibles are proof of the existence of miracles. We have dozens of bodies of Catholic saints that haven't even begun to decompose - many of them have been dead for several centuries. Look up "Incorruptibles" in any search engine to look at the pictures. Absolutely amazing!

For anyone who has not seen "Finger of God" but have read Patrick Gann's comments on evangelical "pharisee's": no where in Darren Wilson's documentary does he state or imply that your salvation is dependant on manifesting supernatural gifts such as speaking in tongues. Darren Wilson did what documentary film makers are meant to do: he searched for an answer to a question. Why does my Aunt Patsy have gold teeth? He had no further agenda than to make a record of the journey he took to get that answer. Whether you are uncomfortable with what he documented or not, it is irresponsible to make statements that have no more basis than your own opinion. We are, in spite of our differences, brothers and sisters in Christ. We should treat each other with love and respect, for our Lord's sake.

Thanks Sergey. -- and Joel, I too wonder what a Pharisee's "blog" re: Jesus and the early church would look like. But I'm sure it wouldn't look like my blog, where I proclaim that a) Jesus died and rose again, and b) people claiming God gave them gold teeth from thin air are either lying or *quite* confused. Do not dare stoop to compare today's skeptics to Pharisees. The real Pharisees in today's religious climate are those who lay specific claims down about who does and doesn't make it into heaven: such as those who say you aren't saved unless you exhibit "supernatural" gifts such as speaking in tongues.

Exactly my thoughts, Patrick! On artificial/natural teeth esp.

This movie is a great tool in showing both believers and non-believers alike that God still does miracles today out of his great love for us. I know it has challenged me to persue God even more, to advance the "Kingdom" by pushing back the darkness, healing the sick, raising the dead, and bringing freedom to the oppressed. If we look at the life of Jesus His message wasn't just words, but power, and that greater things than "these" we would do. If we deceide what are "true" gifts of the Spirit, through only what we read in the Bible, then we limit God's power to our own understanding and become a prisioner of religion. Every sign, wonder, miracle, manifestation, and gift that is of God points to Jesus, and this film with all the signs and wonders points to Jesus.

...if only we could read the Pharisees blogs on Jesus and the early church.....

Ok maybe I am missing the point of Claude and Steve as it relates to the video. You seem to be complaining or dissing the video. Are you complaining, condeming the video? What? I have seen only the trailer. What are you wailing about?

Signs and wonders really make an impression on unbelievers--and believers. That's what they were for wasn't it?

Can I see the hands of all the charismatic pastors who have bald spots, bad toupees or comb overs, glasses or contacts or Lasik and chronic bad breath? Okay. I see your hand ... and yours ... and yours ... Makes me wonder why there are so many of you when healing gifts are so readily available.

And the testimony of God's grace & the miracle of salvation become replaced by "testimonies" of these occurances. Do any of these people realize that the TRUE gifts of the spirit all serve one purpose: they are tools to enable us to get he work done. What is the work? That the Gospel is preached. Once the focus is on the tools & the work is forgotten the tools have become toys. Instead of teaching our children to learn from, respect & obey their parents I guess we should have seminars on how to get the best gifts from Daddy, right? On top of the misunderstanding & false teaching related to the true gifts there are all these non-biblical...impartations. What was the most common sign or wonder sited among the apostles? Correct me if I'm wrong but it would seem to be undeniable healing of lifelong irrefutable conditions. Silly Paul:" silver and GOLD have I none, but what I have I give you. Rise up & walk."

"miracles are manifest in the unlikeliest pockets of the globe." Actually, it's in the most likely of places. The most "miraculous" of miracles happen in third-world countries, where nothing can be verified or properly documented. It's all hearsay. Who's to say if a doctor had diagnosed these "miracle" cases ahead of time, they would not have found a simple, conventional solution anyway. As for the "gold teeth" thing in Chicago...why would God even do that? What sort of miracle is that, and what would it prove? Gold teeth are man's invention for people missing teeth. If God were providing the miracle, why wouldn't he give *real* teeth instead of man-made gold teeth? IMO, this is all rubbish, an UNNECESSARY stumbling block to faith (I say unnecessary because, Lord knows, there are plenty of necessary stumbling blocks many people trip over in attempting to trust and believe...but this extreme charismatic nonsense is a hindrance to the Gospel).
