Whether you think it's a good thing or not, know this: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is a faithful extension and escalation of director Michael Bay's first film in the franchise. In fact, it's practically ...
hmmm, yet again no one has mentioned the racism...

1. The first movie was awesome and compared to this was more family friendly.
2.We didn't need to see Dogs making love...Men wearin thongs and decepticon Pretenders acting like Prostitutes.
3.the twins me personally didn't see them as stereotypical but that's just me.
4.Leo was just unnecessary.
5.without the Sex and drugs this movie could've been better as they would've had more space for more scenes of TF's instead of Deceptigirls in disguise.
verdict:
I hope Hasbro or the FCC moniters Bay a bit more closely during the filming of the third film cause A toy/GM commercial should'nt be this crude.

Being that I am a fan of the Transformers from my childhood, I rather enjoyed the film... a LOT. However, all the commonly noted irritations, the sexual references and the the language was certainly a barrier to my enjoyment of the film. I felt that there were some real good bits to this movie, and like eating fried chicken, you enjoy the meat and spit out the bones. Optimus Prime and Bumblebee kicking Decepticon but was great. I'll see Transformers 3 when it comes out and hopefully Mr. Bay can trim some of the garbage out of it.

The message to young girls is the way to power is in sex appeal. There are no strong women in this movie, only eye candy and seducers. The crudity, language, sexual content is totally inappropriate for a movie that kids will want to see.

I really liked the first movie, but I didn't like the really campy parts that took away from the main plot. Revenge of the Fallen takes all of those campy parts and EXPANDS THEM. No, Michael Bay, I don't care about Sam's mother getting high off of marijuana or what country the helicopters are from. Please don't make that two-thirds of a movie that's supposed to be about Transformers. The raunchy humor was also awkward, unnecessary and really inappropriate for a movie that many children would be watching. I had very high expectations dashed. It could have been one of the best movies of all time if not for the childish antics and bad writing.

horrible movie...i was so upset by the amount of sexual perversion and language. You would think a movie like this would be for the family, but that is not the case. In my opinion it should have been rated R.

I took my grandson to see this,I should have known better. We saw it a week after it came out and there was only about ten people in the theatre.I thought it was idiotic, crude and just an all around mess of a movie.Sure, there were alot of robots and action, but the action scenes were so jumbled you really couldn't tell what was going on.There were several scenes (involving sex,bad language etc.) that I really felt angered about. The big robot with the wrecking balls, how disgusting! Why do they make this trash and pretend its for kids! My grandson liked it,of course, but he liked the big robots and the action. There was a woman sitting a few rows in front of us,who laughed hysterically at every curse word, and sexual joke and pretty much everything those two african american gangster autobots did or said. How sad,but I guess that is what the makers of this movie were after.

I agree same movie just more of it. I believe this one had more bad language and more sexual connotations. Which is sad! do you know what's even more sad...my huge Baptist church allowed "movie on the lawn" to be the first Transformers movie...which confused me and I didn't go because I didn't think a movie like "Transformers" should be shown at movie night at church. There is lust, talk of masturbation, a few bad words...and it's just too loud and violent for little children to watch. Just not cool at all!

I haven't yet seen the movie, but I feel like from the comments and reviews that I have seen, the movie is a disappointment to younger children who were able to see the first movie but due to the over the top sexual situations, inappropriate language, and crude humor, could not. I feel angered by the decisions that the people making Transformers 2 made. The Transformers were made for children. There have been animated shows and now the movies. I feel that for kids, the movie is just a big disappointment, PERIOD!

I saw the movie and was sad to see it ruined with the language and the crude jokes and sexual situations. None of that was needed! I am a HUGE science-fiction fan and I like action movies. I usually go out and grab the DVD as soon as it is released but this movie (along with Peter Jackson's King Kong amoung others) will not be part of my collection. If the bad language and the crudeness was left out - this movie (and many other movies) could have been fun. It's no wonder my sci fi movie collection has been mostly old movies from the 50's and 60's. Sure, the special effects aren't as spectacular as today - but they aren't as offensive as most of the "modern" ones. "I Am Legend" is one of the few recent Sci Fi movies I could enjoy and watch again and again on DVD. Alas!

I was ashamed to say I watched this movie and that a church youth group went and the pastor said NOTHING negative of the film. The humor is just stupid and vulgar, it doesn't fit anyway. The fact that they spend so much on effects to hand it over to idiotic writers should have the CG effects studio up in arms. But in Hollywood it's all about getting paid.
I had fond memories of Transformers and now I'm ashamed to say I even watched it. Way to go on the effects but that is all that was even done right. If this passes as acceptable for a toy based franchise then you are the same people pining for teenagers on the internet. You're just flat out perverted and lack the gumption to use the intelligence or wit God gave you. It's just laziness and greed, or your kid wrote it while YOU played video games. One of the 2.

Oh, and by the way. I'm a 31 year old male and my favorite movie is Braveheart. So please don't write me off as some old, over righteous prude. Thanks! :)

Dear Leslie,
If you didn't find the material in this film highly insulting, you have no discernment. Yes the Bible has sex, drugs, and mass murder but HOW CAN YOU COMPARE THE BIBLE TO THIS HEEP OF CRAP??? If we don't find movies with over sexualized women and stupid humor offensive to both our intelligence and our creator, we need to grow up and face the fact that we care nothing about what Christ died for.

Leslie, how do you condone the sexual objectification of women and the crass juvenile humor seen in this film? Don't call me Amish either. Of my top ten favorite films, probably 7 or 8 are rated R. There is a difference between content that serves a purpose and content that is gratuitous and appeals to the base appeals of a human. There is no excuse for the garbage Michael Bay splattered on the screen in this instance.

@leslie.
calm down and stop ranting about nothing. thanks.
This movie was rather uninteresting. Michael Bay is ruining Tran formers. I don't know why he thought making a movie with annoying characters, unfunny jokes, and practically no plot would be a good idea.

Oh, you bunch of wimps. Do you know that the Bible has sex, drugs and all that "bad" stuff in it? Get over it... grow up! Are you trying to be Amish? Really.... you'll be ok... stop throwing a pitty party and get over yourselves. Its just a movie. Sure, it has it in there, but just about everything these days does. Look at Dora, shes being "Sexy" for showing her stomach... "Oh my gosh! That should be taken off air." give me a break. Go on with life. If you have problems with that stuff such as sex and drugs, dont see it. But if you dont have life problems, its ok to see it.

I have no idea how this movie got a PG13 rating. I have seen Rated-R movies with much less foul language and fewer sexual references. The amount of foul language was overwhelming. Foul language in a Rated-R is expected, this was absolutely shocking. The people who gave this a PG13 rating should be cornered and asked how they could give this movie such a rating. Way too many sexual situations as well. There was one sex scene where a man takes off his pants and what was shown was crude to say the least. I felt sorry for the parents and little kids who were in the theater.

I strongly agree! the movie is meant to be about cool robots fighting not sex.

WARNING> Do not take kids to see this film. We liked the first Transformers so we took my kids with some of their friends last night. They were girls aged 12/13. I was not liking the film on many levels and mentioned to my husband that I wouldn't mind walking out. About then, aprox. 20-30 min. in, the kids asked to leave . When we got to the lobby the girls complained of feeling sick from watching. I should have read the review on this website first.

If I could give it a negative star I would. I cannot believe that this is considered a kids movie. I was shocked that this was a PG13. I don't know why; I should have known, but, come on. It's TRANSFORMERS!! But after seeing the backside of one of the collage girls (and her wearing a short skirt), I was hoping that was it...I should have known. Crude humor, vulgar...I was disappointed, to say the least.

Worst. Movie. Ever. I had low expectations after seeing the first Transformers film, but the sequel was even worse than I expected. I'm not saying that any sexual humor is inherently good, but the humor in this film was not only vulgar but... unfunny too. I can't remember laughing a single time. And everything in this film is sexually charged. I'm not even going to get started on the plot (or lack of plot), because everything has pretty much been said already. I would recommend not only not taking your kids, but not watching yourself. Ever.

Surely the PG-13 rating tells you beforehand that this isn't a kids movie...Micheal Bay isn't making this for people that are kids now, but for people who were kids when Transformers were popular as a cartoon and are now adults.
