Changed by The Passion
A one-hour TV documentary tells the stories of those dramatically affected by Mel Gibson's movie—including one person who confessed to murder.
| posted 4/07/2004

"You've seen the movie. Now see how it's changing people's lives."

That's the motto for Changed Lives: Miracles of The Passion, a one-hour TV special to air this weekend. The inspirational documentary, featuring stories of people who were dramatically affected by Mel Gibson's The Passion of The Christ, will air three times this weekend on Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN): 10 p.m. ET, Friday, April 9; 6 p.m. ET, Saturday, April 10; and a to-be-announced time on Easter Sunday, April 11.

Jody Eldred, the executive producer, director and writer of Changed Lives, says he "knew instantly that people's lives were going to be radically changed by The Passion. And there was no question in my mind that these stories—these miracles—needed to be shared with the public."

The special will include stories of restored relationships, rescues from addiction, diseases healed, lives saved from the brink of death, and even a confession to murder. "God is using the film to bring healing, reconciliation, and peace to people across the nation and around the globe," Eldred says.

Eldred, a 30-year veteran of the TV and film industry, was recently interviewed about Changed Lives by Diane Sawyer of ABC-TV's Good Morning America and by MSNBC's Scarborough Country.
