Style: Gospel Americana; compare to Solomon Burke, Ben Harper, and The Fairfield Four

Top tracks: "Take My Hand" (w/ Ben Harper), "Up Above My Head" (w/ Randy Travis), "None of Us Are Free" (w/ Solomon Burke

In a nutshell: Compiling several of their Grammy-winning duets and other notable pairings, The Blind Boys of Alabama's collection of collaborations is a no-brainer for the legendary band. Known for their who's who list of musical partnerships, the gospel old-timers house fourteen of their favorite guests under one roof, hosting wide-ranging artists like Jars of Clay, Bonnie Raitt, and Asleep at the Wheel. The common bond is the group's acoustic Americana blender, that includes southern horns, vintage guitars and dobros, exhibited beautifully on "One Kind of Flavor" with blues man John Hammond, one of three previously unreleased gems.
