Style: blue-eyed pop similar to Howie Day, Jon McLaughlin, Maroon 5, or Needtobreathe

Top tracks: "Fine," "More Than a Day"

In a nutshell: This is the second EP without a full-length album from Cameron Jaymes and co. The six-song collection shows promise but feels incomplete—both versions of "Fine," studio and acoustic, are repeats from the last EP. And if I want "I Want You Back," I want the Jackson 5 original with Michael's iconic vocals. Jaymes is vocally talented, and his blue-eyed soul mostly works well. But the falsetto and R&B fillers on "If You Wanna Cry" sound borderline-forced. The lyrical fare is positive, hopeful, and mostly relational. The EP delivers a few download-worthy singles, but it's wait-and-see what the band can deliver consistently.
