Style: Prog rock; compare to Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Queensryche, Neal Morse

Top tracks: "Enslavement," "Escape," "Is There Anybody Out There?"

The prime of progressive rock may have passed, but the genre still enjoys a widespread following for those in the know. Though it's rare for a new band to debut in the scene, the Robert McClung-led Telergy does a fine job following in the footsteps of its forefathers, while also unearthing its own thundering personality. The primarily instrumental affair shows off dexterous musicianship couched in classical leanings, while illustrating biblical tales through symphonic grandeur. It's a theatrical collection that not only packs plenty of gusto for prog faithful, but also loads of faith-centered inspiration.
