Style: Modern worship; compare to Phil Wickham, Passion, Hillsong United
Top tracks: "You Have Been Raised," "We Will Rise," "Behold Our God"
Just in time for Easter, Sovereign Grace infiltrates 13 new, mostly corporate-minded worship tunes with thoughtful investigations and powerful implications of Christ's resurrection in believers' lives. Here, they somewhat effectively use an edgier extroverted dynamic akin to worship bestsellers to drive their anthems. But had it not been for the introspective inclusions of acoustic-minded reflections like "To Live Is Christ," the project would have succumbed to musical ho-humness. Nevertheless, the doctrinally sound and spiritually acute lyrics that are Sovereign Grace's distinctive trademark are once again exercised here.
