Style: Opera-pop; compare to Regina Spektor, Rufus Wainwright, Jaymay

Top Tracks: "Beatrix Runs," "Odi et Amo"

Opera-pop might be a lonely genre, but Elizaveta adds to its exceptional roster with her debut album. While the "opera" part might sound daunting, Elizaveta remains primarily in "pop" voice, pure as it is, letting her range, complex compositional structure, and excellent phrasing demonstrate her classical training. Subtle spiritual themes appear throughout; listeners are encouraged to embrace freedom (a nod to Galatians 5?) and trust in the process of revelation. "Nightflyers" may describe a beautiful promise from a lover or a friend, or perhaps a word of comfort from the Creator: "Reach out / You'll be all right / I'll be by your side / Higher than the high / I will carry you."
