Sri Lankan artist Nalini chose to incorporate Asian elements into this Passover Feast scene, including Jesus and the disciples' clothing and the pile of their removed sandals. Missions scholar Jonathan Bonk says in the introduction to A Time for My Singing, "Nalini offers us color without garishness; spirituality without vacuity; and invitation without coercion."
