At the baby feeding center, families bring their underweight children each day. The children are fed four meals a day while their mothers get one, as well as a clean place to escape the sun's heat. Mariam Aden holds her son Ali Muhedin, age 3. He weighs 24 pounds and was discovered by health workers six months ago. His condition is worsening and he is not expected to live.
