Saturday is for Seminars: Brazil and ... Minneapolis?

Over the next couple of weeks I'll be speaking at a number of events around Brazil and then coming back to sunny Minnesota. |

I'll be on the road for the next two weeks and would value your prayers.

I came straight from the Momentum Conference in Columbus, Ohio (via Miami, Sao Paulo, and Recife) to Joao Pessoa, where I am right now. I'll be mostly in Northeast Brazil (the part that points to Africa) until I head to Minneapolis, which I imagine will be a weather shock!

Here's my itinerary. Since my whole family is here and together, we will also take some time to relax, but here are the speaking / ministry contexts:

March 23, Cidade Viva, Joao Pessoa

Sunday, I am preaching at Cidade Viva. You can watch live at 6 p.m. Friday ET if you are interested. It's a fascinating church, planted by Sergio Querioz, that has now grown to over 4,000 weekly attendees. I've hosted Sergio on The Exchange and it is worth watching! (BTW, he is a megachurch pastor who is bi-vocational, as our interview explains.)

March 25-26, Grace Church Mission Team, Campina Grande

My church has a team in the country this week and I will be working with them a few days.

March 27-28, Pastors Conference and Training at Cidade Viva

I'll be meeting with regional pastors and leaders from Cidade Viva to talk about God's mission and spend time discussion the Transformational Church Brazil research that we are in the process of completing!

March 28-April 2, Pastors Mission Trip with The Upstream Collective, Recife, Brazil.

I'll be working with Larry McCrary, and The Upstream Collective with a group of U.S. pastors. We will be working with Rick Thompson (local missionary with the IMB) to learn more about (and hopefully connect with) missions opportunities in Recife.

March 29, Church of the Holy Spirit Anglican, Recife, Brazil

I'll be preaching all the services at The Church of the Holy Spirit (A Igreja do Espírito Santo). Thanks to Buship Miguel Uchoa for having me.

April 3 and 4, Bethel College and Seminary, Minneapolis, MN

From Brazil I go straight to Minneapolis for some events with Bethel College and Seminary including a seminar at Bethel and the Mission 1618 conference.

Then, I can't wait to be back at Grace Church on April 6.

Please pray for us in Brazil and in Minnespolis, and join us if you can!

He has also co-authored two group studies, Creation Unraveled and Creation Restored, which traced the gospel message through the book of Genesis.

Carter holds an M.Div. from Southwestern Seminary and is pursuing a D.Min. in Expositional Preaching from Southeastern Seminary. He and his wife Jennifer have been married for 16 years, and they have three children, John Daniel, Annie, and Samuel.
