Information on Shockwave
These games use Java and Shockwave. Shockwave is a Plug-in that you install to your computer. If you experience errors, you need to upgrade your version of Shockwave or you may have to upgrad your browser to the most current one. The Plug-in is available FREE of charge at the Macromedia website. It allows special effects, sounds, and movements to a special program (Shockwave) that you can run and play on the web.
If you do not have the Shockwave Plug-in, then the games here that are "shocked" will not work on your computer.
AOL uses Internet Explorer as its web browser, you do not need an external browser to use the Plug-ins on AOL.
Please have your parents go to the Macromedia website, and get the Shockwave Plug-in.
If you have Internet Explorer 4, the Shockwave Plug-in is available at Microsoft's website.
IE4 (Internet Explorer 4) is fully capable of playing any and all games on this website with the proper Plug-ins installed.
IE3 may run into some minor problems with menus, but all games should function properly, I reccomend upgrading to IE4
There are many, many Plug-ins available for web browsers. Some enable 3D websites, others let you view special presentations, and still others enable special sound functions. Macromedia, Netscape, and Microsoft have information on all these different Plug-ins.
The web addresses (URL's) for these companies are:

Netscape: www.Netscape.com
Macromedia: www.Macromedia.com
Shockwave: www.Shockwave.com
